- Mark Hershey’s love for woodworking began in his youth, inspired by the natural beauty of the Oregon Coast and the work of master woodworker Howard Coleman. What started as an early passion became a lifelong journey.Mark believes every piece of wood carries its own story. He does not create that story but uncovers it—removing what conceals its beauty and revealing what has always been there. In this, his work reflects a deeper truth: that God is the Creator, and we are co-laborers, called to bring to light what He has already placed within.This piece stands as a testament to that vision. Marked by time and shaped by unseen storms, it reflects the quiet strength of endurance.
